Today I had an interview for a new job. It was for a Social Service Analyst aka Child Support Enforcement aka get money from dead beat dads woo hoo! The truth of the matter is, I have been at my current job for almost two years, a foster care worker. It has its pros and cons just like every job.
Pros: get the children to laugh when they are sad, help parents get help with things they are struggling with in their life, seeing a happy ending = reunite children with their parents, and awesome co-workers.
Cons: seeing horrible abuse and neglect against children, on call 24/7, working long days/late evenings, not able to schedule anything with my personal life because something may come up with one of my cases, being overloaded with too many cases, having to answer difficult questions when kids ask such as "why can't I go home?," having to talk with the children after their parents don't show up to see them for a family visit, and being completely emotionally drained by the end of each day.
Well, thanks for letting me get that off of my chest!!! lol I guess I will let y'all know once I hear something about my interview!!!

I seriously can't think of another person who could do your job like you can!! You have such a wonderful sense of humor that I know is impacting the kids and makes you a perfect candidate for this position!! Can't wait to hear!!! And p.s... LOVE the pink background!! SO pretty!! :)
